Religious Awards

Many Packs, Troops, and Crews in the Housatonic Council will participate in Scout Sunday or Scout Sabbath services in February. Nationally, February 3rd has been designated as Scout Sunday and February 9th has been designated as Scout Sabbath.

To encourage units, youth, and leaders to participate in Scout Sunday/ Scout Sabbath, Ken Lee, a volunteer from Danielson, Connecticut, has created an attractive Scout Sunday/ Scout Sabbath patch. Click below for the flier provides a rendition of the patch and recommended guidelines for earning the patch. In brief, the goal is formal participation in Scout Sunday/ Scout Sabbath observances by youth and leaders.

All leaders are encouraged to include Scout Sunday/ Scout Sabbath observances in their unit programs this February.
